BWXT is seeking qualified applicants to fill the role of Volumetric UT Inspector at its growing facility in Mount Vernon, Indiana.
Individuals filling this role will perform ultrasonic examination of materials and weldments in accordance with established methods and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Performs detailed recording of the above inspections as required.
Performs setup and calibration of equipment in accordance with detailed procedures.
Conducts examinations, analyzes and evaluates test results.
Performs visual inspection of surfaces to be examined to determine suitability for testing.
Prepares detailed test data such as sketches, test reports and reports of inspection to provide documentation of results.
Consults with supervision, relative to test results, on problems associated with inspections performed.
Work from written and verbal instructions and drawings.
Be responsible for exact process and related documentation auditable by the customer.
Provide individual signature and detailed inspection data on applicable documents providing verification of work performed.
Maintain records as directed, keep work area clean, neat and orderly.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
The desired candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
Two years experience performing ultrasonic testing is required.
Candidates holding DIM/VT or MT/PT certifications are preferred.
